Appendix B. Discrete space-time model.--This appendix provides a demonstration of the use of a discrete space-time model (Gurney et al. 1998) to solve Eqs. 1 and 11 for a logistically growing (nonlinear) population in both one-dimensional and two-dimensional habitats, with and without tidal influence.
