Description

For both figures, the 5 species traits values to compute the simulated assemblages of 20 species were randomly sampled among a log-normal distributions with mean 0 and standard deviation 1 (available in files Fig3_Data-Species_traits.txt and Fig4_Data-Species_traits.txt). Initial distances were computed by mean of the Euclidean distance (available in files Fig3_Data-Initial_Euclidean_distances_D.txt and Fig4_Data-Initial_Euclidean_distances_D.txt). Ultrametric distances were then provided by single linkage and UPGMA clustering algorithms (available in files Fig3_Data-Ultrametric_distances_U_Single_Linkage.txt, Fig3_Data-Ultrametric_distances_U'_UPGMA.txt, and Fig4_Data-Ultrametric_distances_U_Single_Linkage.txt, Fig4_Data-Ultrametric_distances_U'_UPGMA.txt).
