TABLE B1. Summary of model selection for kelp bass (Paralabrax clathratus) recruitment analysis. All multiple regression models had a term for kelp bass larval supply (estimated from SMURFs) and some combination of terms for 2+ year old ("Adult") kelp bass density, giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) stipe density, and all pairwise interactions. The response variable was the density of YOY kelp bass recruits (from visual benthic surveys). ΔAICc is the difference in AICc between each model and the model with lowest AICc; Akaike weight, w, estimates the probability that each model is the most parsimonious model.
