Appendix C. Identification of most abundant fungal OTUs according to NCBI Blast, their relative abundance and distribution among treatments.

Table C1. Identification of most abundant fungal OTUs according to NCBI Blast, their relative abundance and distribution among treatments. Data of relative abundance of amplicons are expresssed as means and standard deviations from seven replicates. Fungal taxonomy abbreviations: A – Ascomycota, B – Basidiomycota, M – Mortierellomycotina. The OTUs corresponding to the introduced fungi are highlighted.

1 Mean relative abundance in all samples. * Although the closest blast hit for the 22nd most abundant OUT was Phanerochaete sordida, the sequences were identical (100% similarity) to P. Velutina, the species colonising the wood blocks inoculated into mesocosms.
